Cyberpunk 2077 is the newest game from CD Projekt RED, although many people are not sure when the game will be released yet.
Thankfully, it sounds like Cyberpunk 2077’s development is ahead more than expected because the game is now at a playable state from beginning until the end.
In a new interview with Endgadget, producer Richard Borzymowski, talked more about the state of the game right now.
He said: “Cyberpunk 2077 has been in development for at least six years and its team recently hit a major milestone: The entire game is playable from start to finish. It doesn’t have all of the proper assets, playtesting or bug fixes in place, but seeing the story come together is a critical step in the development process”
It remains to be seen if the game can make a 2019 release date, although it’s cool to know that a lot of progress has been made. It’s possible we could see a 2020 release date for the game after CD Projekt RED irons out all of the bugs and glitches.
At least the game is further along than Square Enix is with the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Sadly the latter game is still in the early stages of development so nobody knows when we’ll ever see that game released.
Anyway, you can look below an overview of Cyberpunk 2077 as posted in a press release that was issued earlier this year.
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open world, narrative-driven role-playing game set in the universe of the classic pen & paper RPG system — Cyberpunk 2020.
The game follows the story of V — a hired gun on the rise in Night City, the most violent and dangerous metropolis of the corporate-ruled future. A robust character creator will allow players to choose V’s gender, visual appearance, character class, as well as historical background — all of which may influence the shape of the game.
