We recently received a beta for the original multiplayer mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and it went well for most gamers looking forward to the new game. Well now a release date for the Battle Royale mode beta has been announced by both Treyarch and Activision. The Battle Royale mode in Black Ops 4 is being called ‘Blackout” and it will feature the biggest map ever created in a Call of Duty game.
Anyway, the release date for the Blackout mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is happening on September 10th, 2018. The PS4 platform is getting the beta first and it will come later for the PC and Xbox One versions of the game. As of right now, a release date for the PC and Xbox One versions of the beta have yet to be announced yet.
We still don’t know the full details of Blackout, but Treyarch is promising the mode will have a map hundred of times bigger than any other map in Call of Duty history. Not to mention you will be able to ride and drive in many vehicles on land, sea and air.
You can read a small overview of the Blackout mode posted below as described in a press release that was issued by Activision earlier this year.
“Battling solo or in teams, players will engage in diverse combat complete with ground, air and sea vehicles across a gamespace unlike anything ever in Call of Duty. Players will encounter fan-favorite Black Ops map locations and call upon a massive arsenal of Black Ops weaponry and equipment as the winner-takes-all action creates a new way to play Call of Duty.”
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be released on October 12th, 2018 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms. As of this moment, there are no current plans to release a Call of Duty game of any kind on the Nintendo Switch.
