There Are No Current Plans To Release Rocket League 2 Says Psyonix

Rocket League became one of the most played video games in recent memory when it exploded on the PS4 and PC back in 2015. Due to the success of the game, many people have been asking if we will ever see a Rocket League 2 in the near future.

Well it sounds like we might have to wait a long time to see Rocket League 2 because Psyonix currently has no plans to make a sequel at the moment. Gamespot talked with Game Director Scott Rudi and he hints a sequel is still a long way off.

He said: “We want to keep this going. I don’t know what I’d do with Rocket League 2. I’d rather do more to expand the existing Rocket League. It’s doing great, there is a lot ahead of it. So yeah, we have no plans for Rocket League 2.”

At this stage, Psyonix would rather update the existing Rocket League video game than just make a new sequel. This makes sense mainly because the original game is still played by millions of players every month.
