PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) continues to be one of the most played video games in recent memory despite getting stiff competition from Epic Games’ Fortnite. The game has now sold over 50 million copies on both Xbox One and PC.
This huge milestone was announced on the game’s Steam page. The 50 million mark was achieved earlier this year and the number is expected to grow even higher in the coming months.
If PUBG Mobile is included, the number of players that are registered worldwide is a huge 400 million players in total! It’s estimated around over 87 million people play the game each and every day.
The developer also announced the following bonuses for players to celebrate the milestone: “To celebrate these new milestones, we’re putting PUBG on sale on Steam from June 19th (later today!) through July 5th. If you want to pick up the game for the first time or gift it to a friend, you’ll be able to grab it for just $19.99 (33.33% off the normal price). ”
While the game is available to play on PC, Xbox One and mobile devices, it remains to be seen if the game will ever get ported to PS4 or Nintendo Switch.
