One of the most anticipated video games of all time is Final Fantasy 7 Remake, although sadly the game has been missing the E3 show for several years now. The game’s director, Tetsuya Nomura, has now commented about the game’s status so far.
Nomura was interviewed by The Verge during E3 2018 and he gave us an update to what Square Enix has been doing lately with Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
He said the following: “We are developing [Final Fantasy VII] in parallel, and it’s not just in the early concept stages. We are actually in development. So right now, it’s like I’ve been putting in 100 percent into Kingdom Hearts, 100 percent into Final Fantasy VII, 100 percent into Kingdom Hearts… just going back and forth. It’s just like [working on] two titles is just going to be one [after Kingdom Hearts III’s launch]. That’s pretty much how I see it“.
It sounds like they want to effort into Kingdom Hearts 3 first which is already confirmed to be released in late January 2019. As for Final Fantasy 7 Remake, we’ll have to wait longer for that to come out but at least it’s out of the early concept phase.
