The Xbox One X is currently the most powerful console out in the market right now and games can run at 4K and sometimes 60fps as well. Eidos is hoping to achieve this great benchmark when Shadow of the Tomb Raider releases later this year.
Electric Playground (via DualShockers) had a chance to interview David Anfossi who is the current head of Eidos Montreal. He went into some detail about the technical benchmarks the development team wants to achieve with Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
In terms of the specs, Anfossi has confirmed that the Xbox One X version of the game should be able to run at 4K with 60fps at the same time as well. However, he did not mention yet if this was full 4K at the moment. Nevertheless, the game has now lighting techniques and could support up to 155 non-playable character on the screen at the same time.
Even if you do not own an Xbox One X, Anfossi promises that Xbox One S owners should still see some huge graphical improvements over 2015’s Rise of the Tomb Raider. Shadow of the Tomb Raider releases on September 14th, 2018 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms.
