Thanks to the release date announcement made for Spider-Man PS4, Insomniac Games has now been very vocal about the release of the game. The developer has answered a lot of fan questions about the game via its official Twitter page this week.
One of the biggest concerns so far have been people wondering if the game is going to feature lots of quick time events (QTEs). This is because previous gameplay footage from the game featured a ton of QTEs. Well Insomniac Games has put those fears to rest as QTEs won’t be a big part of the game.
Insomniac Games answered with: “Have you seen a single QTE in the Game Informer footage? There are a very very minor point of the game used at cinematic set pieces“.
Another concern has been microtransactions and costumes. As announced earlier this week, pre-ordering the game gives you instant access to more costumes/suits from the game. Many feared that the suits are unavailable without pre-ordering.
Thankfully it has now been confirmed that all of the suits and costumes in the game can be unlocked by simply playing the game itself. Pre-ordering just means you can use them instantly without having to complete anything. Another cool thing confirmed is that the game will have ZERO microtransactions whatsoever!
Spider-Man releases exclusively on the PS4 and PS4 Pro consoles on September 7th, 2018. The game is exclusive to the PS4 mainly because Sony is publishing it. The game will never get released on PC, Xbox One or Switch in the future.
