One of the most fun features in the Battle Royale mode of Fortnite has been the Guided Missile Launcher. This rocket launcher allowed users to guide missiles to any target for a specific amount of time. Sadly, some users felt it was overpowered and Epic is currently taking the weapon out of its Battle Royale mode.
Epic posted a message that the guided missile launcher is to be removed in a future update in a post made on Reddit. They posted the following message: “We’ve gotten a lot of feedback around the Guided Missile, in particular concerns over fairness and strength of the weapon. We share your concerns, so we’ve put the Guided Missile into the vault while we figure out the next steps for its future.”
The message sounds like the weapon could come back in the future, but it might not be available in all modes of the game. That said, the weapon was rare to find if you were playing a normal game.
I’m hoping the guided missile can still appear in special limited time events. It’s really fun to use if you managed to use one when it was still added.
