Square Enix had a lot of things to talk about the future of Final Fantasy XV earlier today at PAX East. Even though the game came out back in late November 2016, it seems as if Square Enix is not stopping releasing new DLC for the game because support will last until 2019.
Square Enix already released a lot of DLC in 2017 for Final Fantasy XV and the Royal Edition came out earlier this year too. Well 2018 will see more multiplayer DLC come our way with more story based DLC coming to the game sometime in 2019.
Kotaku posted details of the current DLC schedule for the game and it’s a stacked lineup so far. The Comrades DLC is the main focus for the remainder of 2018 with more updates and DLC coming in the Summer until Winter. However, the coolest news is all of the DLC being planned for 2019.
In 2019, we will see story based DLC based on the characters of Ardyn, Aranea, Luna and even Noctis again. All of this DLC should all be released by the time Summer 2019 rolls around so the game is getting tons of post-launch support.
Another fun announcement as posted by Gamespot is that a crossover event with Shadow of the Tomb Raider is also being planned. Details are scarce at the moment, but we should know more details of it later this year.
Final Fantasy XV is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be available on the same platforms and its release date is September 14th, 2018.
