If you have been playing Sea of Thieves this week, you might know how frustrating it has been trying to log into the servers. Developer Rare is currently aware of the issue and is trying its best to fix the inconsistent servers. Players just have to be patient until all of the necessary work is done to handle the pressure of launch week issues.
The beta of Sea of Thieves was able to handle the player population, but when the game launched the number of gamers logging in was much higher than expected. Rare received three to four times more players than in the beta as over 1 million people have played the game so far.
This is mainly thanks to the fact that the game is available on launch day for Xbox Game Pass. You don’t even need to buy the game at $59.99 like in the past to play it.
Anyway, Rare issued a statement of the ongoing issues via the official website for the game. They posted the following message: “This has led to some scale-related issues that we are working hard across the team to resolve. We are aware that temporarily not being able to access the game, or seeing any of the problems listed below, can cause immense frustration. Please rest assured the issues below are our top priorities and we are doing everything we can to address them.”
Anyway, you can watch the video down below for more updates on the game itself. Have you been able to play the game so far?
