Microsoft has announced that it is releasing a special collector’s edition for the game State of Decay 2 releasing later this year. The most interesting thing to point out about the collector’s edition is that it only includes tangible goods because the game is not even included!

Microsoft announced more details via its Xbox Wire blog. The State of Decay 2 Collector’s Edition includes: “an exclusive SteelBook case, zombie mask, and “thumb-drive,” this collectible edition also includes a State of Decay 2 patch and a human brain SteelBook stand.

The collector’s edition should be available for you to pre-order at your favorite gaming retailer soon for a price of $69.99. The standard edition of the game costs an extra $29.99 so if you want everything you are looking at a $100 expense.

The game will also have an Ultimate Edition that costs $49.99. The Ultimate edition gives you early access to play the full game, some extra DLC as well as a copy of the original State of Decay video game too.

The release date for the game is May 22nd, 2018 and aside from retail and digital stores, the game will also be playable on day-one via the Xbox Game Pass service. Game Pass is a Netflix style subscription service that allows you to play lots of games per month for just a small fee each and every month.
