Jonathan Coachman returned to the WWE after leaving the company to work for ESPN back in 2008. Now, he is back in the WWE overtaking Booker T at the Raw commentator’s table. Despite being added to the commentator team earlier this year, sadly it sounds like Coach came too late to be added to WWE 2K19 to record any lines for the upcoming video game.
Earlier this month, Jonathan Coachman recorded a video on Periscope explaining that he will not be in this year’s WWE 2K19 video game. YouTube user Macho T recorded the video that shows Coach explaining why he cannot be in the game.
He basically says he’s not lying but there is a good reason why he cannot be in the game this year. He says he’s not allowed to say what other project is preventing him from working on 2K’s video game, but he promises fans will understand his absence because his other project is pretty big.
Sadly, he did not elaborate any further about what this other project might be even weeks after the Periscope stream has been recorded. All we can guess is that he might have had a big voice recording role in another video game that won’t allow him to work on WWE 2K19.
For now we know Corey Graves is expected to return to be one of the commentators in the new game out this year. Graves made his commentating debut last year with WWE 2K18. We should have more news about this year’s WWE video game later this year so stay tuned.
