Fortnite has quickly overtaken PUBG to be one of the most played online multiplayer video games in the world. This is all thanks to the game being free to play as well as being available on more platforms. The game will continue its worldwide dominance because it will now be released for mobile devices later this year too as announced by Epic Games.
That’s right, the popular Battle Royale video game will be free to play for those that own a mobile or tablet device on Android and iOS. The best thing about the mobile version of the game is the fact that it includes all of the same content seen on consoles and PCs. This means it will have all of the game’s updates, same map, same items and same gameplay. The only main difference is that you have to control the game using a touch screen!
A sign up event is available for iOS owners starting on March 12th. To sign up for the event, you can click here for more information. Support for an Android version is coming in a few month’s time.
Cross play will also be available for those playing the game on PC, Mac, PS4, iOS and Android. You can play the game with friends no matter what platform you play it on. That said, Epic Games teamed up with Sony to make cross play possible meaning Xbox One gamers are sadly left out.
