Red Dead Redemption 2 Shoots Out A Release Date And New Official Screenshots

Rockstar has now revealed the release date for the long awaited Red Dead Redemption 2. The game will be out later than expected so Rockstar can polish up the gameplay before launch.

Rockstar announced the official release date for the game on its official website. You can read the full announcement from Rockstar down below.

We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.

We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.

Rockstar originally wanted to release the game in late 2017, but it had to be delayed until Spring 2018. Now the date has been pushed back to Fall 2018 which is a very competitive time for game releases.

If this release date sticks, the game will be sandwiched in between the releases of EA’s new Battlefield game and Activision’s annual Call of Duty game. It’s safe to say more people will try and save up to purchase Red Dead Redemption 2 because it has been over 8 years since the first game came out back in 2010.

The only platforms that the game has been announced for are the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Sadly, Rockstar has been quiet in terms of a PC release for the game. The original RDR was released for PS3 and Xbox 360 meaning the franchise was never available on PC to begin with.
