EA may have made Star Wars Battlefront 2 a very controversial game at launch, but this has not stopped the publisher for continuing many post-launch updates for the game. A release date has now been revealed for the next patch of the game coming out on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Battlefront 2’s community manager posted an announcement regarding the new patch via the official forums. You can read a description of the release schedule down below.
“On Monday, the 19th of February, Star Wars Battlefront II Patch 1.2 will go live across all regions and platforms. This update is both a client and server update and will require a client update. While we do not expect downtime on the server side, players will receive the update as outlined below.”
February 19th, 2018
Scheduled Patch 1.2 Rollout:
- PC: 9:00 UTC /1:00 AM PT
- PS4: 10:00 UTC /2:00 AM PT
- X1: 11:00 UTC /3:00 AM PT
“Patch notes will be posted once the update is verified live. We thank you ahead of time for your patience.”
Remember, all DLC for the game is free to all players. DICE and EA decided not to force players to pay for DLC in order to not segregate the player population. Many of the new content is from the new movies, although more things are to be revealed later this year.
EA and DICE have not hinted that there will be more content from the single player campaign yet. Only one new mission was released back in December, but it seems as if the story had a fitting conclusion. Most new content will just be for the game’s online multiplayer mode which is where most players are anyway.
