January is the start of a new year and 2018 hopes to bring us several enjoyable games already. Here are just some of the games you can look forward to later this month.
AO Tennis: This game is releasing in New Zealand and Australia first on January 16th, 2018. It’s the first console tennis game to hit the PS4 and Xbox One platforms. It promises to deliver us a realistic experience. It’s worth buying until another tennis game called Tennis World Tour releases later in the year.
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory: This RPG is releasing worldwide on January 19th, 2018 for PS4 and PS Vita. It serves as a sequel to Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and promises to bring us a new story and more Digimon for you to collect.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition: The original Street Fighter V came out two years ago, but this Arcade Edition will bring us more content. This includes new things such as the Arcade Mode, additional characters, and new skills. If you already own the base game, the upgrades should be available as a free update. The game is releasing on January 19th, 2018.
Lost Sphear: This is another JRPG releasing on PS4 and Nintendo Switch on January 23rd, 2018. The game is developed by Tokyo RPG Factory and is being published by Square Enix. The game is worth checking out if you liked I Am Setsuna.
The Inpatient VR: This PlayStation VR exclusive releases in North America on January 23rd and Europe on January 24th. It is a prequel to Supermassive Games’ other PS4 exclusive called Until Dawn. If you love horror games, this is worth checking out.
Monster Hunter World: Capcom finally releases a Monster Hunter game outside of a portable console and this new game is looking lovely. Monster Hunter World is out on January 26th, 2018 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One and it could be an early GOTY contender. It should be super enjoyable as other games in the series have been fun.
Dragon Ball FighterZ: Also releasing on January 26th, 2018 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One is this new fighting game based on the very popular Dragon Ball franchise. It’s a 2D style fighting game developed by the talented folks over at Arc System Works. The graphics alone are amazing in this game as it looks like a playable anime cartoon.
Dissidia Final Fantasy NT: If you own a PS4, you get treated to another fighting video game. Releasing on January 30th, 2018 is Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. The previous games were only released for the PSP, but this new iteration is based on an Japanese arcade version. Many of your favorite FF characters are playable here including Lightning, Cloud and more.
