A new system update for the PlayStation 4 console will be out later this year, although Sony first wants to test it out. You can help them by signing up for a beta test to try out the new 5.50 update before anyone else can.
No proper details about the new PS4 update have been revealed yet, but it’s sure to come with some major features. The last few updates gave us cool things such as external hard drive support, allowing you to watch 3D movies with PlayStation VR and more.
Signing up for the beta test starts now until January 23rd. You obviously need a PS4 and a PSN account in order to sign up. Bear in mind, signing up just means you could have the opportunity to test out the beta. Beta testers are usually just selected at random so there’s no guarantee that you will get chosen.
If you live in North America, you can sign up simply by clicking here. As for people living in Europe, you can sign up by clicking here. Details on what the update will include should be revealed in the coming weeks.
If you miss out on the beta test, don’t worry because all future updates will eventually be available to everyone. System updates were possible in newer consoles thanks to the power of the internet. In the past, game developers weren’t able to release updates to both console and video games due to the lack of technology at the time.
Anyway, stay tuned here at JustPushStart as we will give you the full details on what this update could include in the near future. Hopefully it’s a big update giving us lots of features and isn’t something boring like another stability update!
