Monster Hunter World Already Ships 5 Million Copies Worldwide

Monster Hunter World just came out last a few days ago and it sounds like the game is already a huge success for its developer and publisher Capcom. It is already going to be one of the best sellers of 2018 and it’s just the month of January.

Anyway, Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter World has managed to ship an astounding 5 million copies in its first three days on sale. This is amazing considering the last games in the series were only released on the Nintendo’s 3DS and Wii U consoles.

It appears PS4 and Xbox One gamers were waiting patiently for a Monster Hunter game and thankfully Capcom has delivered on that promise. A version of the game will also be released on the PC sometime later this year so the numbers will be trending upwards.

Despite the success of the game, some gamers are having issues with the main character that they have created. As reported by Kotaku, the character creation allows you to customize beautiful looking character modes. However once they appear in the game itself they turn ugly.

You can take a look at the funny looking character models down below. Hopefully Capcom releases a patch in the near future so character models don’t look like cheap knockoffs.

That said, the character customization is pretty cool in Monster Hunter World because it gives players a lot of options. It’s the first game I have ever played that allows you to add facial hair onto female characters! I finally got the chance to create a female Stone Cold Steve Austin in a video game and the character looks humorously awesome.
