The ESRB has now rated the PC and PS4 versions Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. The JRPG will be out later this year and the rating gives us a few more details on what you can see and do in the full game.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom has been rated T for teenagers and older. The content descriptor says: ” Fantasy Violence, Mild Blood”.
The rating summary says: “This is an adventure role-playing game in which players assume the role of a man helping a half-human child defeat an evil force to become king. From a third-person perspective, players explore environments and engage in melee combat against fantasy creatures (e.g., half-human soldiers, skeletons, monsters). Characters use swords, fireballs, pistols, and arrows to defeat enemies. Combat is highlighted by impact sounds, cries of pain, and occasional gunfire. A handful of cutscenes depict quick splashes of blood when characters are shot.”
The game was initially going to be released later this month, but late last year the developer decided to delay the game to give it some extra polish. The game will now be released for both the PC and PS4 platforms on March 23rd, 2018. As of right now, there are no current plans to port the game over to the Xbox One or Nintendo Switch consoles.
It has been four years since fans had to wait for this game. This is because the first game came out back in 2013 for the PS3 console only. The first game was called Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch and was critically acclaimed by both fans and critics. This sequel promises to be just as good if not better than its immediate predecessor.
