AO Tennis will be released in New Zealand and Australia next week, although we may have to wait a few more days in order to see more gameplay footage. Big Ant Studios revealed that more footage from the game should be shared when the real life Australian Open tennis tournament starts next week on this coming Monday.
Big Ant Studios posted the following message about the game on the official AO Tennis Facebook page: “We know that you’re all super keen to see gameplay footage, however there are some great things at this year’s Australian Open that need to be kept under wraps until the first match begins. Very soon all will be revealed and you will certainly have an opportunity to see the game in action before purchasing. Thank you for patience and interest in AO Tennis – we can’t wait to get this one in your hands. In the meantime we’ve got two new screenshots to share, captured from games in action. Have a great weekend everyone!”
The Facebook page also posted two new screenshots from the game where you can see them down below. The game is due to be released in New Zealand and Australia on January 16th, 2018 for PS4 and Xbox One.
If you live outside of those two countries, you will have to wait for another release date announcement. Big Ant Studios says the game should still be out in other countries in early 2018, although a specific release date has yet to be determined. Hopefully it can come out not too much longer than January 16th, 2018.
It’s been a long time since a decent and realistic tennis game was released on consoles. AO Tennis is not the only tennis sim out this year because Tennis World Tour is out in a few month’s time too.
