An open beta will be held later this month for Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball FighterZ video game. The publisher has now announced the playable characters that you can be in the open beta that is available for everyone.
Bandai Namco announced more details about the open beta on the official Dragon Ball Games Facebook page. You can read the official descriptions down below.
“Attention FighterZ! Start selecting your team for the Dragon Ball FighterZ Open Beta with 11 characters to choose from including Kid Buu, Beerus, and Nappa playable for the first time ever. Choose 7 stages for your battles like Planet Namek, World Tournament Arena, and more. Modes including World Match and others! If you have pre-ordered, you’ll have access from Jan. 13th 9AM CET to Jan. 16th 9AM CET. For everyone else, access it from Jan. 14th 9AM CET to Jan. 16th 9AM CET.”
The list of playable characters in the beta include: Goku, Vegeta, Nappa, Piccolo, Krillin, Perfect Cell, Android 18, Frieza, Beerus, Kid Buu and Adult Gohan.
The game is a 2D brawler much like Guilty Gear and Blazblue. It’s a tag team affair so fights will be very intense and very fast. Not to mention the game looks pretty thanks to the 2D style anime graphics. You have to see the game for yourself in order to really appreciate the level of detail.
The game itself will be released on January 26th, 2018 in both North America and Europe. The game will be available for you to purchase on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Sadly, the only Dragon Ball game that its out for Nintendo Switch is Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. There are no plans for the Switch yet to receive FighterZ at this moment in time.
