A few days ago, Team Ninja teased an announcement relating to the Dead or Alive franchise. Well the developer was just saying goodbye to Dead or Alive 5.
Dead or Alive 5’s game director, Yohei Shimbori, said that Team Ninja is taking a break and you won’t hear from the team anytime soon.
He said: “However it is time to stop what we are doing for now and look into the future, which means we may not be around for some time, but we are looking forward to seeing you again someday.”
Mr Shinbori went on to say that he wishes the fans continue to support the DOA franchise, despite them taking a break. They hope you look forward to the future instead.
Team Ninja is likely going to concentrate on Nioh 2 or maybe even a new Ninja Gaiden game instead. You can watch the video of the announcement down below.
