When Star Wars: Battlefront 2 launched in November, many people didn’t understand why the single player campaign ended without a proper resolution. Well it sounds like EA held off on releasing the conclusion until after Star Wars: The Last Jedi came out.
Some spoilers will be discussed about the Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Resurrection DLC so avoid if you have not played it yet. Anyway, the DLC gives us a proper ending and conclusion.
The evil Hask from The First Order kills Del Meeko who was the husband of Iden Versio. As you may know already, the trio were formally in the Inferno Squad until Del and Iden decided to defect to the Resistance.
To cut a long story short, Iden eventually catches up to Hask and manages to kill him. However, Iden is fatally wounded as Hask shot her in the hip too. Iden sadly dies, although her spirit lives on inside her daughter named Zay.
While they were infiltrating enemy territory, Zay is able to download some schematics for The First Order’s new Dreadnaught Star Destroyers. Zay sends this over to General Leia so they can find out the weak spots of these big spaceships.
This event leads into the start of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. This is why The Resistance at the start of the film sends out a bomb squad to take one of these ships down.
The DLC is worth playing if you want to know more about the Star Wars lore. I’m hoping more free single player DLC is released in the future to follow Zay. It’s may not happen, but I would love to see Zay’s story continued in the near future.
