Dead or Alive 5 came out way back in 2012 and Team Ninja has re-released the game on multiple platforms many times with lots of DLC. Now it sounds like they are finally ready to announce Dead or Alive 6.
Team Ninja posted the following message on Twitter today: “Good luck to all the fighters that will be attending our Battle Royal 2017 Grand Finals event at NEC18. Make sure to stick around until the finals are over. There will be an announcement once the prizes are given to the champions on Dec. 17th. Stream info will be posted soon.”
The tweet was followed up by the “I’m a Fighter” tagline which was used in Dead or Alive 5. Team Ninja already said they have finished DLC for that game so it has to be something new.
Dead or Alive 6 could shine in today’s market. Fighting games have seen a resurgence thanks to the eSports community. Hopefully December 17th gives us an announcement to look forward too!
