When PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was released for Xbox One earlier this month, players were not able to change the number of people in a Squad. Well that hurdle changes thanks to a new patch that was deployed.
The official PUBG Twitter page made the following announcement: “Xbox players, we will be deploying a patch at 3AM PST / 12PM CET to allow you to enjoy Squad mode in all the ways possible. You will now be able to play Squad mode as a 1, 2, or 3-man squad without having to matchmake with other players.”
This puts the game more in line with Fortnite which also allows you to have varying members of teams in Squad Mode. You can try and kill teams all by yourself if you want to!
PUBG is an early access title on Xbox One with more updates to come next year. The game itself is already out on PC amassing millions of players already.
