Star Wars Battlefront 2 may not have paid DLC, but the game will have loot crates that you can buy. This is kind of like the crates you can get from Overwatch and other games.
You can pay for these loot crates with your own money in Star Wars Battlefront 2. As noted by Metro, EA has confirmed that these boxes contain random Star Cards that feature abilities.
These random star cards can feature things like extra health, healing items for teammates or you being able to deal out more damage.
Whether or not this will leave players at an unfair advantage remains to be seen. “Pay-to-Win” is frowned upon by the gaming community and it usually something you see in mobile video games.
