With Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy now out in stores, the franchise has not seen this type of buzz since the PSOne days. Will this lead to new things in the future?
Game Industry had a chance to speak with Eric Hirshberg who is the current CEO of Activision. He kind of teased that we may see more Crash Bandicoot in the future if demand is high.
He said: “We are experimenting with Crash. We know there’s a vocal fanbase that wanted that to come back. But you never know if that is emblematic of a larger audience or just this niche, nostalgia-based community. So far, we are seeing some real passion for it, so that could lead to other things“.
Sales for the N. Sane Trilogy have been pretty high so far so it’s not just a handful of fans that still love Crash. The huge sales could hopefully tell Activision to make a new game in the near future.
