You may want to check out your email inboxes because EA is in the middle of sending out closed alpha invites to some people to test an early playable build of Star Wars Battlefront 2.
As noted by users over on NeoGAF and AllGamesDelta, some PC users have been able to get invites to a closed alpha test for Star Wars Battlefront 2.
The closed beta starts on June 29th, and the download size is roughly 7.3GB. This alpha gives you a chance to play the game and make sure EA and DICE can find bugs and issues before launch.
The alpha includes: “You have a chance to charge through the streets of Theed, in a massive 40-player Galactic Assault of droid versus clones, to seize – or save – the Theed Palace“.
Later this year, a beta will be held so more players will get a chance to test out the game. The game itself will be released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 17th, 2017.
