The first DLC to hit Resident Evil 7 is the Bedroom DLC, which comprises of Clancy trying to escape Marguerite’s wrath in the bedroom. For those who don’t know who Clancy is, he’s actually the camera man at the Beginning Hour demo of the game.
In the Bedroom DLC, it’s actually quite short. Your main objective is to escape the bedroom and before you can do that, prepare to solve puzzles. From the plethora of Resident Evil games that I’ve played, this one is probably the funnest one to solve.
Now, for those who want to perfectly ease through the DLC without Marguerite catching you, here’s our step by step walkthrough:
Bedroom DLC Walkthrough
When you see Marguerite leave the room, pick up the spoon from the tray and check the lock to free yourself. Pick up the Lantern on the wall hanging beside your bed. Note that this Lantern will be useful in your short journey in the bedroom as it will be your only source of light.
Find a vase on top of the desk drawer and examine. Inside, you should find a Lighter – get it. There is a drawer that you can open where you can find a note inside. Feel free to read it but be sure to close it when you’re done.
On the wall south of your bed, you should find a painting with a book beneath it. Pick up the Untitled Painting C and place it in the middle (please see the picture above). Now, you have to find the other two paintings.
You can find the Untitled Painting B on the right side of your bed. Retrieve it and place it on the left side of the wall.
Now, look at the clock beside your bed. Examine it and you should receive the Broken Clock Hand.
With the Broken Clock Hand in your inventory, check the grandfather clock in the room. Use the Broken Clock Hand as your key to open it.
As soon as you open the grandfather clock, it will chime and Marguerite will be alerted. Get the last painting beneath the clock and place it on the wall. The order should be B, C, A. If done correctly, the book will open where you can get the Sewing Needle.
You have 1 Minute to go back to your bed before Marguerite catches you but before you do so, make sure that everything is back in place. Get everything to where it’s supposed to be by putting back the Painting B where you found it, close the grandfather clock, put the Painting C on the left side of the wall, and put the Lantern back on the wall. If you open the drawer, make sure you check that it’s closed. When you’re done, go back to your bed and wait for her.
After she checked on you and found everything to be normal, she’ll leave again. If she finds anything suspicious, she’ll attack you with her bugs.
As soon as she leaves, get out of the bed and check the clock beside you. Use the Sewing Needle and set the clock to 5:00. The bed will move and a note will drop.
O-oh! Marguerite will once again be alerted with the clock’s chime. Ignore the note for now and check the clock again to put back the bed in place. Put the Lantern back on the wall and hop on the bed. Wait for her and she’ll bring you food.
When Marguerite leaves the room, pick up the fork and the stove.
Now get out of the bed and read the note. Understanding its context will help you solve the other painting puzzle. To make your life easier, put the paintings in the following order in the wall: A, B, C.
Remember the book where you go the Sewing Needle? Well, as soon as you put the paintings in the correct order of A, B, C, a new section of the book will open up, revealing the clue to solve the lock. Investigate these items to have the correct combination to the locked door.
Approach the door with the lock and arrange it with the following order: Snake, Leaf, and Apple (or you can look at the picture above).
Upon solving the lock puzzle door, you’ll enter the Storage Room. Look for the cupboard inside the storage room and use the fork to collect the Solid Fuel inside.
