Ni no Kuni 2 has been in development for quite a while now and it has now been revealed how much of the game is complete. The number might mean it won’t be out in 2017.
During an interview with Famitsu (via Siliconera), Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino talked about the progress being made with Ni no Kuni 2. He mentioned that the development stage for the game is currently at 45 percent.
If you remember correctly, the game has a 2017 release window and the fact that the game is only 45 percent complete could mean the game has to be delayed. An early 2018 release window seems more likely at this point.
He also talked more about the game’s new Kingdom Building feature. He said the system alone could be attractive enough to make its own game out of it. He said each Kingdom should be unique from other players. However, he cannot say more on it yet.
Ni no Kuni 2 is scheduled for release for the PS4 and PC platforms. The aforementioned 2017 release window could change judging by the comments made about its development cycle though.
