The System Shock remake is going ahead by the looks of things as its Kickstarter goal has been reached with 16 days left to go. This means even more money could be rolling in.
As of time of writing, the System Shock remake has earned $962,595. The goal was $900,000. The game is said to be a “complete remake” so it’s not a basic remaster that a lot of other game developers do.
Nightdive Studios thanked the the fans:
Our campaign began with a tremendous surge of support and in less than two weeks we’ve been completely funded… There’s no possible way I could convey how grateful the Nightdive team is to the 14,000+ backers who put their trust in us – we’re having a lot of fun remaking System Shock and we owe it all to you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Stephen Kick, CEO of Nightdive Studios
There’s no release date in sight yet, but the game has been funded so it should be out in the near future.
