Gamestop is expecting a few new console announcements to occur at E3 2016 next month. This is more evidence that new machines will be coming out from Sony and Microsoft.
During the company’s latest financial briefing, COO Tony Bartel, said: “We expect E3 to focus on key titles in the back half of the year and console announcements. We also expect VR to generate significant gaming consumer and press interest.”
Sony will be releasing an upgraded PS4 console reportedly later this year while rumors suggest a slim Xbox One is also on the way. Microsoft is then going to release a more powerful Xbox One in 2017 while Nintendo releases the NX in March 2017.
