A couple of years following the release of the PlayStation 4, it seems that hackers have found a way to install a modified version of Linux and play Pokemon Emerald on the system.
The group “Fail0verflow” is the one responsible for the hacking of the PlayStation 4 right now. Fortunately, they are the same group behind the hacking on the PS3 as well about five years ago.
Check out the video below in which fail0verflow demonstrated how they managed to run Linux on the PS4 and play the critically acclaimed Pokemon Emerald as well. If you are interested with this hack, the group has released the tools publicly, though you will need firmware version 1.76 to do the hack.
