Lots of Secret Paths
Yharnam is a big city, therefore expect a lot of secret paths that you will encounter. You see those destroyable boxes or crates? Make sure that you roll on them. You don’t know what path will unlock when you do. When you uncover a secret path, you might get an item that will be very useful to you.
Explore the City
Make sure as you venture through Yharnam, you are not focused in one area. With a lot of paths that you can take, I suggest that you take one and go back if possible. There are a lot of secret items, or Blood Echoes item that you can find everywhere!
Know Your Limits
Assuming you have a lot of Blood Echoes with you, it’s safe to use them right away and wait until later. Know what you’re capable of in battle and since Yharnam is full of unexpected monsters that you meet, it’s better to use the Blood Echoes right away rather than losing them all.
Use that Enemy-Lock Feature
When you are fighting a single enemy or boss, make sure that you enable that auto-lock feature. It will help you focus on that enemy as you slash them to death.
Swing Your Weapon to Regain Health
One of the things that I like about Bloodborne is the “regain” system. Those who love aggressively killing and slashing your enemies will benefit from the regain system. As you land attacks continuously at an enemy, there’s a big chance you will regain some of your health back. Make sure that you keep slashing your enemies, even though they’re about to die.
