Bloodborne is a challenging game and will require a lot of patience for those willing to complete it from start to finish. Just like other Souls game, it will give you a headache whenever there’s a boss that you can’t beat or you lose the Blood Echoes, which is Souls in Bloodborne, that you have been collecting for hours. Well, have no fear! We have prepared these tips that will help you survive the city of Yharnam.
Newcomers? You definitely need to read these Survival Tips:
Master the Art of Dodging
In Bloodborne, you will learn that dodging is an essential skill that you will need if you wish to survive Yharnam. Since whatever equipment you wear doesn’t affect the stamina or endurance that you have, you can move freely regardless if you’re wearing a heavy armor or not. That being said, pressing the (O) button a lot will save you some Blood Echoes.
Watch Out for Ambushes
One of the annoying things that you will encounter in this game is an ambush from a mob or a certain enemy. To prevent getting ambushed and to help save the Blood Echoes you have been collecting, it’s imperative that you stay cautious at all times, slowly getting through alleys and looking at the side from a far spot. Trust me, there’s a lot of unexpected ambushes that you will encounter in the game and being cautious will help you save a lot of Blood Echoes.
Use Your Blood Echoes on Your Level
With the Blood Echoes that you get, you can use them in a variety of ways like to level up, buy equipments or items. If I have to rate which is the most important to use it on, I would say to use your Blood Echoes first in leveling up your character, buy equipment and the last part should be the Blood Vials. Unlike in the Souls series where healing items are rare, Bloodborne has a lot of them. Majority of the enemies that you take down have Vials that they drop.
Farm A Lot Of Vials
At the early part of the game, you can farm a lot of vials from enemies. It’s important to always stock up your vials to 20. Before fighting a major boss, make sure that your stock of Vials is full. That way you can survive it and win, if you’re lucky enough.
Check Hunter’s Dream Regularly
The Hunter’s Dream will act as your main hub in Bloodborne. As you progress deeper in the game, things starts to change in the Hunter’s Dream such as new items that you can buy, or new areas will open up. Since you will need to go back in the Hunter’s Dream to level up, make sure that when you have a lot of Blood Echoes with you, visit the Hunter’s Dream and use them.
