Within the last few months, former Sony head Jack Tretton stepped down from his position as a head of Sony and recently announced he was taking a position on an advisory board for AI firm Genotaur. However, Tretton is far from done with gaming as Spike TV has revealed that he will be serving as a special correspondent during E3.
Tretton has always shown a lot of personality in the Sony conferences, so this should certainly allow for some good insight during E3. In a statement given to Kotaku, Tretton said:
Since I dropped the mic last year on Spike I thought it was only appropriate to pick it back up for E3 this year! I’ve been to every E3 but this year I’m excited to see the show through a different lens with the team at Spike. I’ll be watching the news and announcements unfold alongside the fans and the rest of the industry, and I can’t wait to see the new games that everyone is bringing to the table.
Tretton will work alongside Geoff Keighley while they cover the events of E3 on June 9 as all of the companies are having their own conferences.
