The entire country of Denmark has been recreated in Minecraft. This is not a joke.
The whole thing is 1TB in size. If you want to download it, you better have lots of space on your hard drive and very fast internet. It’s a 1-to-1 replica of the entire country built in Minecraft that consists of over 4 trillion bricks. The project was commissioned by Denmark’s Ministry of Environment.
VentureBeat reports that the creators use Denmark’s Geodata Agency tp lay out the map. They then used an algorithm to lay out all the bricks automatically. It would have taken them 126,755 years to make the map manually if they worked on it 24/7!
It’s already been used in schools. This goes to show us that video games can sometimes be used as educational tools.
