It’s almost that time again with the month of February ending, that means we will be learning the identity of the two free games that will be part of the Xbox Live Games With Gold Promotion for the coming month. While nothing has been officially released, the Twitter account for WorthPlaying has revealed that Civilization Revolution will be one of the titles available in March, according to their Microsoft sources.
Worth Playing was correct with Dead Island last month, so there is no reason to doubt this one. The most disappointing aspect is that this game is nearly six years old, while PS Plus is constantly offering newer titles. Regardless, if this game interests you, it sounds like we will be getting it at some point in March. Now, we much wait for the official reveal to find out the other game in this month’s Games With Gold promotion will be and which part of the month each will be available.

February 28, 2014 at 2:40 AMWhile this is an oldie, I’d say it’s one of the better games with gold yet, as there really hasn’t been anything better on console for it.

February 28, 2014 at 9:00 AMI’m actually pretty excited for this game – as I have been for all the games. I’ve only owned my 360 for about a year, and I mostly PC gamed before that. So pretty much all the games have been new for me :)

February 28, 2014 at 9:02 AMHahahahahahahahaha…… Microlo$t’s gold…. Yeah okay. This service pals in comparison to what Sony offers! Keep on attempting to make it Microlo$t.
This company has seriously sickened me with its continuos BS and antics that are completely disgusting for a massive company it even conceive.
It will never be on par with what SEN offers and that is it.

February 28, 2014 at 3:13 PMI loved this game back when it came out, but ultimately ended up losing it in a fire and never rebought it. So this is actually an awesome sounding deal to me. I can never get enough Civilization.

February 28, 2014 at 7:04 PMI remember playing the demo back then. The game isn’t for everybody. If you like it then you just like the genre. As for the Xbox crowd, I’d be suprised if even 3% download the game.

February 28, 2014 at 9:50 PMOutlast was a great game I got on PS4 in February. But Sony fanboys need to realize something. PSN+ may have better free games as a whole, but at least Microsoft is investing in a massive and global server infrastructure that developers can utilize as another avenue to develop around and an infrastructure that can be used for dedicated servers in games that apply. As a PS4 owner I wish Sony would start investing in this.
Look at Titanfall. Before it got all the hype, why would Respawn/EA even consider making it a Microsoft exclusive? Well besides getting a fat check from MS, they also are saving money. Microsoft’s global server infrastructure is going to save Respawn a lot of money. If Sony consoles got Titanfall, would they be using Microsoft’s server infrastructure? No. So then Sony would have to foot for the bill or Respawn/EA would have to cut into profit margins and pay a third-party hosting service. And considering how Sony needs to make sure PS4 is as profitable as it can be due to their other divisions struggling, Sony had no intention of footing the bill….at least during the pre-stages of Titanfall’s development when most of this was decided upon.
