Twitch has been growing more and more each year, especially with the integration seen with the PlayStation 4. Most streams on the site are pretty typical playthroughs of games by a single person, who is operating the stream. However, an incredibly unique stream has popped up for Pokemon Red/Blue that has been ongoing for a couple days now.
Rather than having someone play the game while others watch, the members of the chat get to decide every move of what happens. All you have to do is comment by saying something like “up,” “right,” “a,” and “b.” By doing this, the Pokemon game reacts to what the people are saying. Obviously plenty of commands are cancelled out, but somehow the stream has made it all the way past the Cereulean City gym as of last night, so it is working in some strange way.
If you are interested in checking out the stream for yourself, you can go to the Twitch Stream known as TwitchPlaysPokemon right here.
