The Xbox 360 Pizza Hut app seemed like a match made in heaven for gamers that love pizza when it was first announced by Microsoft. The app first debuted in April 2013, and according to Pizza Hut, the app sold more than $1 million pizzas in only its first four months of existence.
Doug Terfehr, Pizza Hut’s director of public relations, discussed the success of the app in an interview with Polygon.
It’s been a source of unbelievable growth for us. Just the explosion of people who wanted to download it, experiment with it, play with it with Kinect. As soon as we did one, everyone was contacting us to do the next [one].
Terfehr would not comment on any other platforms that a similar app could be coming to, but he did say “Conversations continue to be ongoing with us. Wherever you are, we want to be.”
