With the further unveiling of Valve’s Steam Machines recently, it is interesting to hear what their competitors think, as the goal of Steam Machines is to take over our living rooms. Now, in an interview with Engadget, Microsoft’s Xbox head Marc Whitten has discussed what he thinks about this new competitor in their gaming space.
I personally don’t know how to think about Steam Machines yet. I’m not knocking it or whatever. I continue to think that PC gaming — the sort of uber configuration and I can change everything and I can mod — that’s an important thing and there’s a lot of people that wanna do that.
Whitten went on further to say “I think there’s space for both. I’m not sweating it.” However, I am more intrigued to see what he may say once the Steam Machines are eventually released, as it’s not like he would really say he feels they are a threat this early.
