As we all know by now, Ubisoft wants a yearly Assassin’s Creed game out, and even possibly two as we reported recently. However, Ubisoft has now spoken out saying that they would delay a game in the series if it is “not good enough.”
If we think we’ve ended up with a 70 percent Assassin’s Creed game, we’re not going to ship it. That damages the brand. I’m not going to give you the names of products, because you know them as well as I do, but if you start to make games at 70 percent, even with a big brand, eventually people are going to change their mind about that brand. They won’t want it anymore.
Some people feel that last year’s Assassin’s Creed III was rushed to release due to many bugs and glitches, but luckily the latest game, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, seemed to quell some of the backlash that the series received.
