UK gamers noticed there was a £5 price increase for first-party Xbox One game. Microsoft has replied to the situation.
A Microsoft UK representative told Gamespot the following:
Yes, pricing for select digital content in some markets has changed since launch. Digital content pricing is subject to change and we may occasionally offer various deals or promotions. Ultimately pricing and promotions will vary by region.
This doesn’t exactly tell us why Microsoft increased the price of first-party Xbox One games. UK gamers could always buy them at retail stores since they’re usually cheaper than getting digital copies.
