Ever since it was announced at E3 this year, Xbox Live Gold members have been able to access two free games per month on their Xbox 360, each available for half of that month, as part of the Games with Gold promotion. The good news that came out today is that the promotion will continue onto the Xbox One beginning in 2014.
So far the promotion for Xbox 360 has brought free titles like Assassin’s Creed 2, Halo 3, and Crackdown. Considering there are not that many Xbox One titles out right at launch, it likely will take a little bit before the program can get underway on next generation, especially with the lack of backwards compatibility between systems.
More details are said to come about the program on the Xbox One sometime in 2014, so keep an eye out sometime next year for more information for Games with Gold on Xbox One.
