Rayman Legends has had quite the rollercoaster adventure over the last year or so with changes in exclusivity and release dates. It was finally released as a multi-platform title this past September to much acclaim. Now the latest title in the Rayman series will be coming to the next generation PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this February.
During the Ubisoft conference call for fiscal year 2013-2014, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot discussed how Rayman Legends has already sold about one million copies since its release. He then mentioned that the game would be coming to both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this February, where he expects there to be a lot of demand for the next generation versions.
The PS4 and Xbox One will be released in a few days’ time and will be a new driving force for the industry. We are confident in our capacity to rise to the short-term challenges posed by the transition phase, thanks to the very high quality of our games, which, combined with the upcoming arrival of the next-generation consoles and the traditional ramp-up of sales during the Christmas season will trigger positive momentum towards the end of the year.
There was no indication on any additions to the game outside of a graphical upgrade yet, so we will have to wait for that information to trickle out over the coming months.
