The first gym leader that you will get to fight in Pokemon X and Pokemon Y is located in Santalun City. For those who picked Fennekin as their starter Pokemon, this fight will be pretty easy as the affinity of the trainers for this gym is Bug type.

* Do not bring any Fire type Pokemon when fighting Surskit. If you have a Grass-type Pokemon, use that.

– Water Sport, Weakens Fire type attacks
– Bubble
Vivillon (Bug) – Lvl 12
*This Pokemon is purely a Bug type Pokemon. When Water Sport is no longer in effect, bring out your Fire Pokemon and spam this Pokemon with Ember or any fire-based attack.
Moves:
– Harden
– Infestation, Damage Over Time (DoT)
Rewards: 1920 (Money), TM-83 Infestation
