Fans of the Assassin’s Creed series will have something to look forward to when they pick up Assassin’s Creed 4 today.
For people who have played past Assassin’s Creed titles and the save data is still on their hard drive, you will unlock something the moment you start your play through. Depending on what save data you have, you can unlock the following costumes:

October 31, 2013 at 3:17 PMI didn’t have the save files… only the same UPlay account for the previous titles… anyway I got all the prompts they unlocked… but in-game… nothing. Seems the saves are 100% required.

November 1, 2013 at 11:27 PMIf you have any XBOX/PS3 saves from the previous AC games, the Altair/Ezio/Connor robes will be unlocked and ready to wear when Edward has access to his quarters on the Jackdawe. You can only equip these robes IF you are signed on to UPLAY and cannot be worn when offline.

December 30, 2013 at 9:52 PMYou can get the costumes simply by unlinking your gamertag or psn id on uplay.com and go to account settings and then start assassins creed 4 up, it will ask you to sign to uplay and when you do it will give you the costumes. This works for ps4 and xbox one.

January 3, 2014 at 10:29 AMI had the problem where i had uplay data from other previous games but never got altair, ezio or connor outfit. Then i looked at Joseph’s comment about unlinking it, then loading ac4 then put your uplay email in. doubted this very much, tried it myself and worked!!! Just got to do what he said, unlink them then try again
