Players starting out their journey to become the world’s number one Pokemon master in Pokemon X and Y will have twice the selection of any previous title when it comes to picking out a starter.
Instead of just choosing the usual assortment of fire/grass/water pokemon, players now have the option to select one of the original three starters from the Pokemon Red/Green/Blue generation. All three of the original set, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle will each have unlockable mega evolutions to discover. Professor Sycamore will give players access to two starter pokemon, adding a more strategic element to the early few gym battles.
Pokemon X and Pokemon Y will be available exclusively to the Nintendo 2DS and 3DS platforms on October 12th.
