Since Dark Souls 2’s surprise announcement at the Spike Video Game Awards in 2012, fans have been waiting to find out when they can get their hands on it. We now have that information courtesy of Namco-Bandai at the Tokyo Game Show. Dark Souls 2 will be arriving in North America on March 11, 2014. This date is for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version of the game while the PC version will come shortly after.
Namco-Bandai also announced the Dark Souls 2 Collector’s Edition that will be launching at the same time. This special edition will be coming with a hardcover artbook, a 12-inch Warrior Knight statue, a fabric map, and the game’s official soundtrack.
There was also a new trailer released at the Tokyo Game Show for the upcoming game that unveils what appears to be the new tagline for the game “Go Beyond Death.” This is in contrast to the original’s “Prepare to die.” Courtesy of IGN, this trailer has been released on Youtube showcasing Dark Souls 2.
