In a leaked Target ad released today, it seems that the PS Vita will be dropping its price during the week of August 18th through until the 24th. With gamescom 2013 happening on that same week, netizens assumed that this leaked ad from Target is a sign that the PS Vita will finally gets a price drop.
For those who haven’t had a chance to purchase a Vita due to its price, they can buy the handheld at a much lower price starting August 18th through the 24th. Gamers who are interested in purchasing the Wi-Fi version can get the PS Vita for $199.99. As for the 3G model, it will have the price of $249.99. At the price of the Wi-Fi version, it sure is competitive to Nintendo’s 3DS XL, and if the price drop is indeed happening that week, can Sony expect an increase of sales here in North America?
With Killzone Mercenary coming out in September, it would be wise to drop the price to attract the potential buyers.

August 10, 2013 at 10:33 AMDefinitely one of my favorite handhelds of the last while. The screen is gorgeous, the linked ps3 (and upcoming ps4) support is amazing. And it has some stunning rpgs on it already!
Not to mention, it supports most psn psp and ps1 games. Which will expand your rpg library by a crapload!
Yes, as you can tell, i love owning portables for rpgs (since it’s one of the best places to play). So the more games that get released, the happier i get :p
